La vie est.....SCARY!

I'm going to try to update this blog with pictures and musings from my time in France. :)

But first I need to get there. I flipped through the "Welcome to Paris" guide that Cordon Bleu sent me and on the first page they write "La vie est belle!!!" of course, right now I really think La Vie est SCARY.

I found a potential room for rent (http://paris.craigslist.org/roo/499410178.html) and spoke with the lady there for about 10 minutes. Considering I really can't speak french, I was lucky she spoke some english. I will meet her when I arrive in Paris. I'm still looking for some other places to stay, that way I can have options and choose when I actually meet people.

I received my dansko clogs aka "chef shoes" - a steal on ebay for $20 - yesterday and I'm really excited to start cooking :) That being said, I need to actually pass my classes before I get to Paris, so a bientot! (See you later)
